Verità is built on one rule: no fake anything. That includes how we treat your data. This page says plainly what we collect, why, and what we never do.

What we collect

Your account email (for sign-in), and the profile you choose to share in the app — skin type, hair type, sensitivities, age range, and budget preference — so verdicts can be personalized to you. We also store the products you scan, save, or add to your bag, and your verdict history, so the app can remember your routine.

How verdicts work

When you scan a product, the product's name and your profile attributes (never your name or email) are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a verdict. Product lookups may use Open Beauty Facts, a public product database. Fresh verdicts may include genuine web review coverage, with sources shown in the app.

What we never do

We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't share your profile with beauty brands. Brands cannot pay for verdicts, and shop links never change a verdict. Some buy links are affiliate links that may earn us a small commission — the verdict is generated before, and independently of, any link.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) with row-level security, meaning your records are only accessible to your account.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion is permanent. You can also email us at info@askverita.com and we'll handle it for you.

Age

Verità is intended for users 13 and older.
